Why not a design app
It was built for football and nothing else, so every control does a job you actually have on matchday.
It already knows football
Positions, real squads, kit numbers, flags and club badges are built in, so you are arranging a team instead of fighting a blank canvas.
Real squads, loaded in a tap
Pick from 400+ clubs and national teams and the pitch fills with the actual players. From there it is your call who starts.
Every shape you reach for
20+ formations are one tap away, from a 4-3-3 to a back three, and any player can be dragged off the preset slots into a shape of your own.
A link that opens the real thing
Copy link, and whoever taps it gets your exact XI, formation, note and toggles intact, ready to edit. No screenshot, no compression, no guessing what you meant.
An image that posts itself
Download a square graphic sized for Instagram, TikTok, X and YouTube thumbnails, with numbers, flags and badges showing exactly as you set them.
Free here, fuller on your phone
Nothing to pay, nothing to install, no account to make. When you want 12,000+ players, custom players, the full sheet through Player info and 100 saved lineups, the free app picks up where the browser leaves off.
Who uses it
Grassroots coaches
Settle the weekend XI on the bus or the sofa and send it straight to the team, no whiteboard photo required.
Content creators
Turn a transfer rumor or a team news drop into a clean matchday graphic before the take goes cold.
Fantasy managers
Lay the gameweek XI out where you can actually see it, sort the bench, then drop it in the mini league chat.
Fans with opinions
Build the derby XI you would name, an all time dream team, or that one season nobody else remembers right.
How to build a lineup
Five steps · Under a minuteMost of the time you only touch the first three.
Start with a team
Pick from 400+ clubs and national teams and its squad lands on the pitch and the bench. A blank pitch with no club behind it is an app thing.
Set the shape
Tap through the 20+ formations until the pitch looks right, and use Flip if you want the XI facing the other way.
Make it your XI
Pull players on and off the bench, move them around the pitch, and flip Number, Country and Team on or off. Naming a captain and logging cards, goals, subs and ratings happen in the app.
Add the line under it
The lineup note is the caption the sheet carries with it: the round, the opponent, the score you are calling.
Send it
Download the square image, or copy the link that reopens the same XI wherever it lands.
Football lineup builder FAQ
Is it really free?
The web builder is free with no account to create, and the iOS and Android apps are free to download. The app also sells an optional Pro subscription for extras like alternate kits, pitch themes and Team colors.
How many formations are there?
20+ presets, covering everything from a 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1 to a 3-5-2, 4-4-2, 5-3-2 or 3-4-3, plus their variants. Lineup format, in the app, also takes a side from 2 to 11 players.
Can I change the kit and the pitch colors?
On the web each club wears its own home kit on a single pitch, so it looks right out of the box. Custom kits are in the app, and alternate kits, pitch themes and Team colors come with Pro.
Where does my lineup go when I leave?
Download exports it as a square image, and the browser keeps the last team you had open on that device. Saving lineups, up to 100 of them, is an app thing.
Can I share without exporting an image?
Yes. Copy link gives you a link, and whoever opens it lands on your exact lineup, free to study it or change it, which beats sending a flat screenshot.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes, it is built mobile first and runs in any modern browser. For 12,000+ players, custom players, saved lineups and the deeper sheet, the free app is the full version.
